Brief
Create a physical pass system to give Oregon State University students free access to PRAx performances by borrowing a ticket through the Valley Library. Along with the pass design, develop marketing materials—including social media graphics and photography—to promote the service and drive student engagement.
Overview
Introduced a new library service that lets students check out passes for PRAx events like theater, music, and live performances. The passes were packaged in CD-style cases with illustrated covers and inserts featuring the event title and instructions for redeeming two tickets.
Solution
Developed CD-style passes with custom illustrations that align with PRAx’s creative identity and OSU’s visual standards. Each included a printed insert with event details and redemption steps. To promote the launch, I designed Instagram-ready marketing graphics, conducted a photo shoot, and built a cohesive visual system for both print and digital platforms.

Photography & Visual Direction
To support the PRAx pass launch, I directed and captured original photos to visually communicate how the passes are used and displayed. These images were used in promotional materials, social media graphics, and internal marketing to build excitement and awareness around the new service. The photos highlight the physical format, student interaction, and overall aesthetic of the campaign.
Promotional Materials for Instagram
To promote the PRAx borrowable pass system, I designed Instagram-friendly posters using original photos I captured for the campaign. These visuals were shared on the Valley Library’s social media channels to build awareness, highlight key details, and encourage students to check out a pass and attend a live performance. The designs balanced clarity, energy, and consistency with OSU branding.
Discovered
A familiar, tactile format like a CD case can spark curiosity and increase visibility in high-traffic student areas.
Learned
Coordinating print and digital design with original photography creates a cohesive campaign that builds trust and awareness.
Takeaway
Thoughtful design creates access—transforming a simple ticket into a meaningful way for students to connect with arts, culture, and community through the library.
